What a wealth outlook reading examines, and what it will not do

A Wealth Outlook reading at Sage Song is a human-written, multi-year reading of how you earn, build and protect, grounded in your natal chart and current cycle. It is metaphysical guidance on aptitude, direction and timing, not investment advice, and it does not promise financial results. This guide explains what the reading looks at in a Ba Zi chart, what the intake asks of you, and where its usefulness ends.

What you receive

You receive a written reading prepared by Song Jushi (宋居士) that covers aptitude, direction, income, opportunity, risk and timing, with practical steps you can take. The current estimate is delivery within forty-eight hours of a complete intake. This is the reading to book when the money question is really a direction question: you are earning but drifting, weighing a change of track, carrying debt pressure, or holding back from an opening because the timing feels impossible to read. Many of Taiwan’s well-known entrepreneurs have consulted Song Jushi over his more than 47 years of practice; their names, like yours, stay confidential.

The report arrives as an encrypted PDF behind a secure link; the password is your date of birth as eight digits in YYYYMMDD order, and the PDF itself is not sent through WhatsApp. What you do not get is a stock pick, a forecast of returns, or a number you can take to the bank. The limits are the point: a reading about how you are built to earn and when the conditions favour building, changing, protecting or waiting, written so that a money decision is not made in panic.

The wealth stars: 正財 and 偏財

A Ba Zi chart is the eight characters (八字) of the year, month, day and hour of birth, each pillar a heavenly stem over an earthly branch. The stem of the day pillar is the Day Master, and every other stem is named by its relationship to it. The names come from the five phases (五行) and their fixed order of producing and controlling. The phase your Day Master controls is called wealth: earth for a wood Day Master, metal for a fire one. Where it appears, and how strongly, is the first thing the reading looks at.

Tradition splits wealth by polarity. Direct Wealth, 正財, is the wealth phase of opposite polarity to the Day Master: steady, earned, held: salary, savings, money from doing the work. Indirect Wealth, 偏財, shares the Day Master’s polarity: money that moves, trade, chance, windfall, gains with risk attached. Neither is better. A chart with no visible wealth star does not describe someone who will have none, only someone whose money arrives by another route. All of it is weighed against the Day Master’s own strength; the old warning 財多身弱, wealth outrunning the body, describes a person too weak to hold what the chart offers.

Resource, output and the way you make money

Wealth is one of the Ten Gods; a reading that stopped there would miss how the money is made. The phase that produces your Day Master is called resource, 印: learning, qualifications, mentors, backing, property. The phase your Day Master produces is called output, 食傷: what you make, say, build or perform. In the five-phase order output produces wealth, the traditional way of saying that money follows skill, craft and expression. Resource and wealth, meanwhile, contend: the chart of someone forever torn between another qualification and going out to earn.

The fourth role is the officer, 官殺, the phase that controls your Day Master: position, responsibility, structure, and the pressure of answering to someone. Together these roles are the traditional ground of what the service calls aptitude: the work, roles and ways of creating value that are more native to you than others. That is the question underneath most money questions. Not what to buy, but what you are built to do well enough, for long enough, that it holds.

The luck pillars: the decade cycle and timing windows

A natal chart is still. The luck pillars, 大運, are what move. Derived from the month pillar, they run forward or backward through the stems and branches in steps of roughly ten years, so each decade carries its own pillar over the natal chart. A decade can bring in a wealth star the chart lacks, lend support to a weak Day Master, or clash with the branch that was steadying everything. The annual pillar adds a finer grain, so a patient decade can hold one restless year.

This is where a wealth reading’s timing windows come from. The report is multi-year: it names the periods ahead in which building, changing track, protecting what you have, or simply waiting deserve more of your attention. If the handover between two decades is itself the question, the house runs a separate Decade Transition reading, which reads the closing decade, the opening one and the crossing years between; you name the decade before checkout and it is currently delivered within five days.

What the intake asks of you

Four questions come before checkout. Where your income comes from: employment, your own business, freelance or contract work, investments, or no income right now. What the pressing money question is: earn more, change direction, debt pressure, build assets, or protect what you have. What you most want to know: what your aptitude is for, when it turns, whether to change track, employed or on your own, or when to enter and exit. And one line, between four and eighty characters, on the situation.

After payment the private intake opens. You confirm the exact name, date, time and place of birth used for your chart. Then you write, in up to two thousand characters, what you do now and for how long, what you are genuinely good at, and what you considered but never started. The road not taken is often where the aptitude sits. If nothing has been submitted after thirty days we send one reminder; at ninety days the order is cancelled and refunded in full.

What it is not

It is not financial, tax, legal or investment advice. It will not tell you what to invest in, predict a return, a salary or a valuation, or promise a financial result. What it offers is perspective on your own pattern and timing, written in good faith for reflection; the decision, the risk controls and any advice from a qualified adviser remain yours. It is a map of terrain you already half know: it will not walk for you, but it shows where you have been circling.

Two neighbouring readings mark its edges. Business Partnership is for the people you would build with: who drives, who slows, how resources are held under pressure, read across two to five people who each enter their own private record. Decade Transition is for the handover itself, when a ten-year cycle is closing. Wealth Outlook sits underneath both: the reading for how you, specifically, are built to earn, and for when conditions favour the move you are already half considering.

Common questions

Can the reading tell me what to invest in?

No. It does not give investment instructions or promise a financial result. It helps you reflect on direction, risk appetite, timing and work pattern.

Will it predict how much I will earn?

No. It describes aptitude, direction and timing windows, not a figure, a return or a date on which money arrives.

Is it only for people with investments?

No. It is equally relevant when the pressing question is employment, self-employment, debt pressure, a career move or building a steadier base.

How is Wealth Outlook different from Decade Transition?

Wealth Outlook reads your whole wealth pattern and its timing. Decade Transition reads one handover between ten-year cycles, with the decade named before checkout.

Do I need my exact birth time?

The intake asks for the exact name, date, time and place of birth used for your chart. The hour pillar depends on it, so give the most exact time you have.
